Founder/Editor
AroundCarson.com
In 2005 I started the online community Around Carson (at www.aroundcarson.com). This website is a place for all residents of Carson City and the Carson Valley, in Nevada, to gather and discuss life in their hometown. I built a custom blog engine from scratch to run the site, a photo gallery that allows anonymous submissions, and a variety of other database-driven sections dealing with restaurants and historic buildings. The site also has many static HTML pages. I personally add something to the site almost every day, and am trying to get involvement from members of the community.

The Computer Vet
I run a computer consulting business out of my home. I serve small businesses that don't have an IT staff of their own on an on-call basis, providing services such as computer repair, troubleshooting, upgrading and networking. I also provide freelance web design services on a local and national level. I run a website at www.computer-vet.com

ComputerCorps
I worked as a volunteer at ComputerCorps, a Carson City-based non-profit organization that takes donations of older computers and fixes them up, giving them out to needy groups and individuals in the community for little or no cost.
